...Heavy Wet Snow and Strong Winds Continuing this Afternoon...
.An early spring snowstorm will impact eastern Iowa and
northwestern Illinois into this evening. Heavy wet snow will
continue roughly along and north of Interstate 80 through the
afternoon. Snowfall totals of 8 to 12 inches are expected over
east central Iowa into northwest Illinois. Localized
accumulations of 12 to 14 inches are possible. Further south, a
sharp gradient to snowfall totals of 1 to 3 inches is expected
over southeast Iowa into west central Illinois.
In addition to the heavy wet snow, winds are expected to be
strong from the east with gusts as high as 35 mph. This will lead
to drifting snow on roadways and pockets of poor visibility.

inches are expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Be
prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times.
